General Purpose Integrated System for Mobile NFC Services in Internet Environment

TapFuture - The project is focused on the establishment of a NFC infrastructure, and will develop innovative and efficient services and high performance manufacturing technologies.

This project aims to deliver scalable, affordable NFC-Enable platforms and expanding these platforms to form an NFC Infrastructure wherever it is used.

TapFuture is framed in Transformable Factories model and addresses the field of ICT and Global and real-time network management.

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short- range wireless connectivity technology that provides intuitive, simple, and safe communication between electronic devices. It represents the future nexus of contactless and mobile payments in mobile infrastrucuture, make it possible for payment applications to be remotely loaded onto NFC mobile devices (a process known as Over- The Air (OTA) provisioning). It is poised to become a dominant global service offering with NFC mobile payments transaction value predicted to exceed US$75b globally, by 2013.

This project aims to deliver scalable, affordable NFC-Enabler platforms that would give retailers, brands and NFC mobile service providers to reach and interact with the customers "on the go" at various locations as well as expanding these platforms to form an NFC Infrastructure wherever it is used.

Therefore, developing a project of such a type has a direct effect, perfect quantified in increasing the economic compeitiveness of our companies across Europe generating a good and welcomed impact, changeover ability, configurability, flexibility, mobility, modularity and compatibility of companies.
