MINAM
Micro- and NanoManufacturing European Platform

The MINAM platform has been created to support the European manufacturers and equipment-suppliers in the field of manufacturing of micro- and nanotechnology products.
The MINAM platform represents about 500 companies, research institutes and institutions concerning the businesses of micro and nano production and concentrating all interested Europeans of both sides.
The quintessence of MINAM is manufacturing, therefore the close collaboration with the existing platform ManuFuture.
MINAM exists basically out of 3 groups:
- Industrial stakeholders give the strategic trends for MINAM in the Industrial Management Group (IMG).
- The Operations Support Group (OSG) realises the decisions and guidelines from the IMG.
- The Members support MINAM as representatives of the Micro- and NanoManufacturing community. Members support are foreseen in fields like developing roadmaps and implementation plans, participation to research projects, training, dissemination.
Chairman: Paolo Matteazzi (MBN Nanomaterialia)
The Board Members are represented by: Andrea Reinhardt (microTEC Gesellschaft fur Mikrotechnologie GmbH), Manfred Diehl (Umicore), Peter Rigby (Umicore) and Liviu Jalba (Microelectronica S.A.)
European MINAM Association
The MINAM Association was created to assume and strengthen the activities of the existing Micro- and NanoManufacturing Community MINAM that has established itself with strong support from the European Commission and a range of related research, engineering and industry groups and associations.
The MINAM Association include research planning and lobbying towards European and National programmes, facilitation of research projects, active dissemination and implementation of new technology within European industries, training and educational activities.
The Association has the purpose to gather industries, research institution and any other legal body based in Europe involved and having interests in the area of Micro- and NanoManufacturing.
The MINAM Association consist of three Groups:
- The Founders Council - has the rights to change the object of activity, to name the President of the Board of Directors and to transform the Association in a for-profit company;
- The General Assembly - composed of all the effective members;
