RESPLATEPE- Scientific Network and an Ecological&Technological Platform for Electronic Packaging

RESPLATEPE project started on 2006 and ended as a great success in the last period of 2008.

The project purpose was to developed a Scientific Network and an Ecological&Technological Platform in accordance with our alignment necessity to the reglementations of European Direction 2002/95/EC (ROHS) and Romanian Governemnt Decision no. 992 from 25.08.2005 regarding the usage limitaion of some dangerous substances (plumbum, cadmium, mercury, flame-proofing substances) in electric and electronic equipments.

The results obtained at the end of the project were accessible to electronic companies and helped SMEs involved in electronic products realization, including those innovative ones, to prepare their technology to face the impact that will be felt at the implementation of new environment protection standards.

UPB-CETTI was the project coordinator, UPB-CCMA, UPB-CCEPM, AMCSIT Politechnica, INCDIE-CA, UTCN, MICROELECTRONICA and INTRAROM were partners in the project.

Microelectronica participated in acquisition of soldering alloies and necessary electronic components. Our role was to research optimization of soldering processes using non- plumbum materials, having in mind the influence of soldering technologies and in colaboration with others partners we participated at the realization of contaction ecologic pilot line of electronic components at the interconection structure.
