CORAL
CORAL project- Polymeric thin bandage in composite system used in electromagnetic screen manner in microwaves domain
The project had the purpose to investigate some electromagnetic energy absorbent materials in microwaves domain (1?20 GHZ), materials with composite thin batches form. There were proposed for investigation two types of composite polymeric thin bandage:
- with metalic particles dispersed in a polymeric matrix
- with carbon particles (nanocarbon and graphite) dispersed in a polymeric matrix
The project tackled one of the most present theme regarding the problem of different protection systems and human people against the action of electromagnetic waves and regarding the global security objectives through EM screen manner.
The results obtained at the end of the CORAL project:
- protection at the interference with electromagnetic waves and human people protection
- reduced costs for the screening materials and technologies, improving the safety in communications
- increasing the resistance to induced perturbations through electromagnetic interference
- advanced materials used for protection against EM radiations
- alignment to european standards in electromagnetic compatibility domain
CORAL project ended as a great success in the last period of 2008.
